Gratitude, Ruffoni Cookware, & A Personal Project Sneak Peek
Heading into 2022 I’m very grateful for all that has been accomplished in the past year. The teams and clients I have worked with have been incredible. They also handled all the challenges of working in a pandemic really well. It’s not easy to plan a production as it is, and with Covid it adds an extra complexity.
Over the past year I have had the opportunity to be part of the newly formed Diversity Committee through American Photographic Artists. It’s been very fulfilling and we have been working on some powerful initiatives to help bring more diversity, equity, and inclusion into our industry. One great accomplishment has been the creation of a webinar series titled, Scope, where DEI topics are discussed. You can see the 6 episodes we produced last year here. The series will start back up in the coming months.
Today I wanted to share two projects with you. The first being work I've done over the past year with Ruffoni and their US marketing team to photograph all their cookware lines in studio for a website update as well as create evergreen entertaining images on location to be used year-round and for the holidays. While their hand-hammered pots and pans are absolutely stunning they are also reflective. But reflections are a challenge I love. In this body of work my years of tabletop, food, and lifestyle photography paid off, even in the complex, richly styled settings. To see more images visit my Projects page.
